My Mum's Shepherd's Pie 

Sauté 2 chopped onions in a splash of olive oil, add 1 kg.beef mince, break up and cook until well browned.

Add 1 large grated carrot and 2 big sticks of celery (chopped) - cook until vegies are tender - add 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce,

1 tablespoon of  Worcestershire sauce, a splash of red wine, a tablespoon tomato paste and salt & pepper to taste.

Put the lid on the fry pan or saucepan and cook slowly for about 20 mins making sure it does not stick (add a little water if too dry).

Thicken with a little flour and water mixed together. Place in large pie dish and cover with smooth mashed potatoes with grated cheese sprinkled on top. Bake in oven for 30 mins.
